How to Keep Lake Country Healthy - Sustainable Drainage Workshop

To Community Partners, Lake Dwellers and Users:

Learn how to protect the water quality in our lakes and rivers….. eastern Ontario is blessed with many beautiful, clean lakes and rivers. How will they be protected as communities continue to grow and develop. Please find attached a work shop agenda and background information about Sharyn Inward, Director of Water Programs, Green Communities Canada and RAIN Community Solutions. This workshop will prove to be very informative and provide innovative ways to deal with stormwater to protect our lakes and rivers. The People, Aquatic Plants and Healthy Lakes Project - Collaborative and Working Group (Friends of the Tay Watershed, Carleton University, Mississippi Valley and Rideau Valley Conservation Authority, Watersheds Canada, Lake Networking Group, Lanark Fish and Game Club, Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry – Kemptville District, Ottawa River Keepers, Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Rideau Valley Conservation Foundation and Local Lake Associations) have collaborated to host this workshop.
